Metronidazole Tablets
An antibiotic called metronidazole is used to treat a number of different types of infections. It functions by preventing specific germs and parasites from growing.
Only specific bacterial and parasitic illnesses are treated by this antibiotic. For viral illnesses, like the flu or the common cold, it is ineffective.
Any antibiotic that is used unnecessarily may stop working against subsequent illnesses.
When treating certain stomach/intestinal ulcers brought on by the H. pylori bacteria, metronidazole may also be used in conjunction with other drugs.
