Hydroxyzine Tablets
Hydroxyzine is used to relieve allergy-related itching.
It is an antihistamine that functions by preventing your body from producing histamine, a natural chemical produced during an allergic reaction.
Additionally, hydroxyzine can be administered temporarily to relieve anxiety or to make you feel drowsy or at ease both before and after surgery.
As prescribed by your physician, take this medication orally, usually three or four times a day, with or without meal.
Use a specific measuring tool or spoon to accurately measure the dosage if you are taking this medication in liquid form. A household spoon may not give you the right dosage, so avoid using one.
The dosage is determined by your age, health, and how well you respond to the medication. The dosage for children may also be determined by their weight. Take this drug as prescribed; do not raise the dosage.
Inform your physician if there is no improvement or if the situation gets worse.
