Methocarbamol Tablets
The drug methocarbamol relaxes muscles. It functions by preventing your brain from receiving nerve impulses, often known as pain feelings.
Methocarbamol is used to treat skeletal muscle disorders such as pain or damage in conjunction with physical therapy and rest.
Injections of methocarbamol are occasionally used to treat tetanus, also known as “lockjaw,” which results in excruciating muscle contractions.
Warning
If you have an allergy to methocarbamol, you should not use this drug.
If you have myasthenia gravis, let your doctor know before using methocarbamol.
After the first two or three days of treatment, you might need to lower your dosage. Pay attention to what your doctor says about how many medications you should take each day.
Methocarbamol may cause cognitive or behavioral impairments. If you must be aware for anything, such as driving, exercise caution. Alcohol use may intensify some of this medication’s negative effects.
Prior to using this medication
If you have an allergy to methocarbamol, stay away from it.
In order to ensure that this medication is safe for you, let your doctor know if you:
renal illness;
A seizure
myasthenia gravis.
A fetus may suffer injury from methocarbamol. To avoid getting pregnant, use a reliable birth control method and notify your doctor if you do.
While taking this medication, breastfeeding might not be safe. Inquire about any risks with your doctor.
Unless it is used to treat tetanus, methocarbamol is not authorized for use by anybody under the age of sixteen.
